I’m Luca Valentino, a Full Stack developer from Palermo, Italy. I trained in biomedical computer science at ITS Academy Alessandro Volta and I’m now studying Computer Science at the University of Palermo. I build websites and web applications across front-end and back-end: from interfaces to databases, all the way to AI integrations.

My background in biomedical technology and cybersecurity taught me to work with particular care for data and system protection. Today I build custom websites as a freelancer, and I’m looking for a dynamic environment where I can grow and contribute actively.

    Freelance Web Developer

    Client projects

    I designed, built and delivered the Coach LordFlipper website: front-end in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, conversion-focused responsive design, SEO and GEO, deployment on Netlify. I followed the client from gathering requirements to going live.

    Front-end and back-end developer intern

    A system that automatically digitises oncology medical records with OCR and AI. Back-end in Python and Flask with APIs; image preprocessing with OpenCV; text recognition with PaddleOCR and Tesseract; semantic analysis with a RAG architecture and local language models, to reduce hallucinations. MongoDB and MariaDB databases, web dashboards with Tailwind and Bootstrap, GPU acceleration with NVIDIA CUDA and a GDPR-compliant on-premise setup.
